In December alone, Vietnam had a trade surplus of over 259.4 million USD to Germany. Export turnover is almost double that of import.
According to the statistics of the General Department of Customs, in December 2020, Vietnam had a trade surplus in Germany with more than 259.4 million USD.
Export turnover is almost double that of import.
Specifically, our country exported more than 591.8 million USD to Germany, and imported about 332.4 million USD.
In 2020, the trade balance between Vietnam and Germany will reach 3.3 billion USD. The total import-export turnover between the two countries is nearly 10 billion USD.

5 export items with strong growth in turnover, all over 100% increase compared to November are: computers, electronic products and components up 840%; iron and steel products by 186%; cashew nuts increased 125%; raw materials for textile, garment, leather and shoes up 117%; coffee increased 104%.
Footwear of all kinds is the main export commodity group of our country with the turnover reaching 108.7 million USD.
Top 10 items Vietnam exported the most to Germany in 2020 reached 5.3 billion USD, accounting for 79% of the total export value of all kinds. In which, there is only one group of mobile phones and accessories with over 1 billion USD.

The import item with the strongest increase in turnover was non-ordinary metal, 330% more than the previous month.
Top 10 goods imported from Vietnam the most from Germany in 2020 reached 2.7 billion USD, accounting for 79% of the total import value of goods. In which, imported mainly machinery, equipment, tools and other spare parts, over 1.5 billion USD.
